How to Steep Your Matcha
- Heat: Boil water, then let it cool to about 175°F (80°C) to avoid bitterness.
- Mix: Place 1–2 teaspoons (2–4g) of matcha powder in a bowl and add 2–4 ounces (60–120ml) of hot water.
- Whisk: Using a bamboo whisk (chasen), whisk in a "W" or "M" motion for 15–30 seconds until frothy with tiny bubbles.
- Enjoy: Once frothy, your matcha is ready to drink. Enjoy immediately for the best flavor.
